The Queen of Wands

I had to quickly get this girl out of my heart before she ate me from the inside out.

I recently became interested in tarot. For a long time, I’ve been considering the juxtaposition of freedom and love, and the Queen of Wands embodies this really well. In spite of all the lions, I think the most significant icon on her Rider Waite tarot card (which this illustration is based on) is the black cat at her feet. This suggests that this incredible, powerful woman might have a mysterious, lesser known side that she embraces, and luck favors her.

Like the Queen of Wands, I no longer push that little black cat aside, I bring her closer to me.
